On Sunday, May 26, 2013, of College Park, MD. Beloved husband of the late Mary McGeehan Smaldore; father of Mary S. (Michael) Hartig; loving “Pop-Pop” of Stephen, Sean, and Mary Kate Hartig. Predeceased by his parents, Valentino and Josephine Smaldore, his brothers; N. Thomas and Patrick Smaldore and his dear sister, Sr. Valentino Smaldore, SSND. Survived by a host of devoted family members and dear friends as well as his loving companion, Anne Adams. MARY TERESA MURPHY

Mary Teresa Murphy, 78, of Silver Spring, MD passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Born in New York City on July 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Keown) and Hugh Spellman, respectively of Counties Fermanagh and Armagh, Ireland. Beloved wife of the late Timothy Murphy; sister of Joan Costello, John, Frank, Jerry, Arthur Spellman and the late Kathleen Swihura and Hugh Casey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was a lifelong valued executive assistant at Union Labor Life Insurance Company, originally in New York City and later in Silver Spring.
